Branden McCoy, 3rd Degree Black Belt & Fitness Coach

Branden McCoy was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Maine when he was 11years old.  He graduated from Morse High School in 2012 and earned a bachelors degree in Health Services Administration at Florida International University in 2016. He says  “I have always had a passion for fitness and the way the body works. Early on in High school, I decided that my dream was to own a Physical Therapy Clinic which focuses on athletes of all levels”.  Branden started training in Taekwondo when he was 11 years old and earned a black belt at 14. He has spent years studying and comparing many styles of martial arts including Boxing, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and Karate. His training not only led him to compete at a national level, where he earned several medals but also gave him the experience to instruct students of all ages. He spent many years, instructing students at Hall’s Martial Arts, training with and coaching the advanced competition team and working at several elementary schools teaching after school Taekwondo classes which focused on technique, discipline, and healthy living. In addition to coaching at Ship City Fitness, Branden is also working as a Physical Therapist Aide at Flaming Physical Therapy and is pursuing his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) . His future goal is to earn a doctorate in Physical Therapy and focus on Sports rehabilitation.


Jessica Rock, Fitness Instructor

Jessica’s journey started many years ago with Martial Arts training.  She spent 7 years studying the Art of Shotokan and Jiu Jitsu.  After a back injury and gaining a lot of weight she decided she was going to take control of her life, her health and her fitness.  With controlled diet and exercise she was able to lose 60 pounds and get in the best physical condition of her life. Jessica understands the mental, emotional and physical benefits of exercise and wants to help others see how empowering it is to be strong and healthy. Jessica is known for her creative and physically demanding High Intensity Classes.  She also instructs our family fitness classes which allows parents and children to participate together.

Rosina is certified as an Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She is also certified with Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), ISCA/Thomas Enterprises Kickboxing, Reebok Step, R.I.P.P.E.D and POUND.
A fitness enthusiast since she and her husband were stationed with the U.S. Marines. Rosina has always believed in the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Rosina designs healthy exercise programs to meet her client’s goal. In addition, she specializes in high energy, high intensity workouts for people that are looking for a challenge.
